Welcome to the IWIRC Delaware Network

The Delaware Network has grown rapidly since its inception in 2003 with a current membership of 109. The Network provides opportunities for the advancement and professional development of women working in the insolvency and restructuring practice by creating networking, business development, educational and mentoring opportunities in Delaware. Throughout the years the Delaware Network sponsors various events for members and nonmembers. These events include: guest speakers, mentoring luncheons, wine education events, cocktail hours, sunset boat cruise on the Chesapeake, charitable teas, new member events and an annual golf event. These events strengthen and solidify professional relationships and enhance professional development. Our Annual Holiday Party is a signature event in Delaware and is well attended by the bankruptcy bar, financial advisors and other restructuring professionals, as well as the bankruptcy bench.

2010 was a particularly busy year. In addition to our networking and charitable events, the Network proudly hosted an open forum featuring two distinguished bankruptcy judges who spoke candidly regarding the bankruptcy practice and the road to the bench. In addition, the Network co-sponsored an educational event with the Chicago Network.

The Network is strongly supported by many Delaware law firms and businesses and, consequently, many events are complimentary or offered at a significant discount to members.

We are preparing for elections coming up at the end of March 2011, and are excited to expand our board from four to six members, adding Membership and Social positions.

The Network seeks to expand its membership and strive to develop new and enhanced programs. So join the Delaware Network – “a place to be somebody”!
