Professional Bio:
CC is law clerk to the Honorable Wendy Hagenau, Chief Bankruptcy Judge for the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Northern District of Georgia. CC previously served as law clerk to the Honorable C. Ray Mullins from 2011 - 2018.
CC earned her JD from Emory University School of Law and her bachelor of arts, cum laude, from Middlebury College. Prior to attending law school, CC worked as a litigation legal assistant at Davis Polk & Wardwell in New York. While in law school, CC served as the Executive Administrative Editor of the Emory Bankruptcy Developments Journal and her student comment, COMI Strikes a Discordant Note, was published in Volume 27, Issue 1 of the Emory Bankruptcy Developments Journal. During law school, CC also interned for the Honorable Judge Mary Grace Diehl, Bankruptcy Judge for the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Northern District of Georgia.
CC has been on the board of directors for the Georgia Network of the International Women’s Insolvency and Restructuring Confederation since 2013. She served as Programming Co-Chair from 2013-2014 and as Network Co-Chair from 2015-2016. She currently serves as a Director at Large.
CC also chairs the Bench and Bar Committee of the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Northern District of Georgia, is a Member at Large on Atlanta Bar Association's Bankrutpcy Section Board of Directors, and an adviser for the Emory Bankruptcy Developments Journal Notes and Comments Advisory Committee. CC is the Middlebury College Alumni Atlanta chapter leader, the Middlebury College Alumni Admissions Program Georgia Committee Chair, and on the board of directors for Everybody Wins! Atlanta, an organization devoted to improving the reading skills and developing a love of reading in students reading below grade level.
