Constance joined BMO Capital Markets in 2006 and is a Director in the Mergers & Acquisitions Group. She has worked on a broad range of M&A transactions in several sectors including oil & gas, financial services, power & utilities, and infrastructure. Her experience includes the acquisition of RBC General Insurance by Aviva plc; Economical Mutual Insurance’s acquisition of Western Financial Insurance Company; Talisman Energy’s sale of its stake in the Ocensa pipeline; RONA’s response to the unsolicited approach by Lowe’s; the strategic reorganization of Gaz Métro and creation of Valener; and BMO Financial Group’s acquisition of F&C Asset Management.
Constance is also part of BMO Capital Markets’ market-leading restructuring and capital structure advisory practice. She has advised on several recapitalizations and restructurings including Sears Canada, Pengrowth, Postmedia, Yellow Media, Lightstream Resources, Laricina Energy, Connacher Oil & Gas, and Endurance Energy.
Constance holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree with Joint Honours in Finance and Economics from McGill University, where she was a Greville Smith scholar.
