Professional Bio:

Alexia is a cross-border insolvency and commercial litigation offshore attorney with over 15 years’ experience practicing English, Cayman Islands and BVI law in tier 1 firms. She works on complex multi-jurisdictional disputes, fraud and asset tracing claims and insolvencies, advising insolvency practitioners, directors, shareholders, debtors, creditors and high-net-worth individuals on strategies to reach practical, commercial resolutions.

Having started her career as a criminal barrister in London, Alexia became a commercial litigation solicitor, before moving to Cayman in 2010 where she acted as Cayman Counsel to Irving Picard in the Madoff bankruptcy, and in other complex disputes, such as the SPhinX liquidation, Algosaibi Brothers litigation and Axiom Fund receivership.

In 2015 Alexia joined Walkers' Insolvency and Litigation team in Singapore, where she joined the Board of Directors of IWIRC Singapore and was elected a finalist of the IWIRC Rising Star Award. 

Alexia has an Executive MBA from INSEAD and worked for a time in the Legal Tech team at Thomson Reuters in London, before returning to the legal profession and to Cayman in September 2023, joining the new, female-founded law firm, Claritas, where she continues to work on complex cross-border disputes and insolvencies.
