On October 23, 2018, IWIRC’s Chicago Network held an engaging cocktail event and presentation on Emotional Intelligence (EQ) in Team Dynamics. The discussion led by Dr. Sharon Meit Abrahams, Director of Professional Development, Diversity & Inclusion at Foley & Lardner LLP, focused on helping us become more self-aware and understand the importance of EQ to success in the workplace. Attendees received the book Emotional Intelligence 2.0, compliments of the Chicago Network, along with a quick reference guide of useful EQ resources and a copy of Dr. Abraham’s presentation. As a follow-up, attendees were invited to a lunch at Perkins Coie LLP where attendees enjoyed an interesting roundtable discussion on the topic.
