Professional Bio:

Alexis is Counsel in the Pittsburgh, PA office of Reed Smith LLP, where she focuses on a wide range of commercial transactions and disputes and bankruptcy matters, primarily asssiting clients in the asset and equipment finance industry. Prior to joining Reed Smith, Alexis clerked at the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania and at the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Middle District of Florida. While clerking in the Middle District of Florida, Alexis also worked as an adjunct professor teaching Bankruptcy Law at Florida A&M University College of Law in Orlando, Florida.  Alexis received her J.D. from the University of Florida, a Master's Degree in Urban and Regional Planning from the University of New Orleans, and a B.A. from Haverford College.  Prior to law school, Alexis taught special education to elementary and middle school students with Teach for America in New Orleans, Louisiana.
