The International Women’s Insolvency and Restructuring Confederation (IWIRC), the premier international, networking and professional growth organization for women in the restructuring and insolvency industry, today announced the five semi-finalists for its inaugural “Rising Star” awards.

The 2011 Rising Star Award semi-finalists are:

Monique Hayes, an Associate at the law firm of Genovese Joblove & Battista, P.A. and Co-Chair of the Florida Network.

The semi-finalists, who posses eight or less years of experience within their field, were chosen from a group of sixteen nominees that include attorneys, bankers, turnaround advisors, claims and noticing agents and other restructuring industry consultants and professionals who are actively engaged in the restructuring industry throughout the world.

“We are so excited to recognize entry and mid-level restructuring professionals who are dedicated to and have made a difference in IWIRC at the local, national or international levels,” said Jennifer Meyerowitz, Esq., Vice President & Director of Business Development at Epiq Systems and IWIRC’s Vice Chair. “These women are the future of the organization and it is essential that we not only recognize them, but also encourage them, support them and promote them.”

An award and recognition luncheon will take place at the 18th Annual IWIRC Fall Conference in Tampa, Florida on October 12, 2011. For details and to register for the conference, please click here. The final Rising Star award winner will be announced during the conference.
