Professional Bio:

I’m Heloisa Nogueira Engel, co-founder and partner at NOEN – Nogueira Engel Sociedade de Advogados, where I focus on corporate law, recovery & restructuring, banking, contract work, arbitration, and VC. My journey in law began at PUC-Campinas, where I earned my Bachelor of Laws, graduating among the top of my class and serving as class orator.Eager to deepen my understanding of the legal by way of the economic, I completed a specialization in Law & Economics at the University of Augsburg, Germany.

My entrepreneurial spirit took root at age 12 while helping my mother manage—and later professionalize—her home-based beauty salon. That experience taught me firsthand the messy realities of running a small business: balancing people, processes and finances, and surviving moments when it almost failed . I carry that sense of partnership into my legal practice, advising business owners as if their challenges were my own.

Professionally, I’ve held leadership roles including coordinator of the Judicial Recovery nucleus at OAB Jovem São Paulo, and I currently serve as a member of the Instituto dos Advogados Brasileiros (IAB). I regularly publish articles in Migalhas and on our NOEN blog, covering topics like debt restructuring, governing contracts, C-suite governance, and digital-era legal challenges.
