On Tuesday 8 January 2019, IWIRC Cayman Islands was delighted to host 35 IWIRC members from the Caribbean and US, as well as six promising law students from the University of Miami and St Thomas for the inaugural Networking Lunch for IWIRC members attending the ABI (in partnership with RISA)Caribbean Insolvency Symposium, kindly sponsored by Walkers. This member-only event saw Cayman Islands IWIRC network members mingling with IWIRC members from the New York, Florida, and Philadelphia networks.
Attendees were treated to wine and a delicious complimentary three course meal on the shaded terrace at Luca, against the backdrop of the stunning Seven Mile Beach. Shelley White on behalf of Walkers, our generous sponsor, welcomed the visiting IWIRC members to the Cayman Islands and Laura Hatfield, Chair of the Cayman Islands Network, highlighted the importance of the business relationships and friendships that are formed through the IWIRC network. These are particularly valuable for practitioners in the Cayman Islands, who engage in extensive cross border work with practitioners based in the US.
