On July 12, members of the TMA NOW and the International Women's Insolvency & Restructuring Confederation (IWIRC) enjoyed an evening of networking and theater. The group enjoyed an intimate pre-play reception at Petterinos followed by the light-hearted and uplifting comedy “Support Group for Men” at The Goodman Theater. Centered around four friends who meet every Thursday night for an all-male “support group,” the play sent the message that, ultimately, we are more alike than we are different and everyone needs and deserves the understanding and acceptance of others. With a spot-on set designed as a classic Chicago apartment (complete with interruptions from the “EL”), occasional swearing, and a wicked awesome late-night dance scene, good times were had by all. TMA NOW and IWIRC note that one of the best characters was the only female in the otherwise all-male cast, who played a hilarious CPD officer.
