This spring, the Chicago IWIRC chapter spiced-up the mid-pandemic lull with a fun and sensory experience. Members and non-members from not only the Chicago chapter, but other national chapters as well, came together on March 10, 2021 for a virtual candle making session hosted by Paddywax Candle Bar. Participants were able to select their candle holder and scent and candle making kits were sent to attendees prior to the event for direct home delivery. With a bubbly beverage in hand, everyone learned how to not only create a candle from scratch, but also how to quickly and efficiently empty a finished candle holder for reuse! While we waited for our candles to cool, the group interacted in small-group breakout sessions for an intimate networking session. The best part about this virtual event was the ability to connect with counterparts throughout the country!
