Twenty eight IWIRC members from the Greater Maryland, Delaware, Philadelphia and New Jersey networks, along with friends and colleagues, took some time out to network, learn a little bit more about tasting wine and exercise some of our non-bankruptcy creativity. Laurie Forster, aka The Wine Coach, took us through the basics of tasting and then tested us with blind tasting of three wines to “Name that Wine”. With a little heathy competition between the tables, and Laurie’s coaching, most everyone came away with a few new tasting skills! Then the games began – each table was assigned the task of creating their own fictional wine – from the country of origin, varietal, marketing concept and label. The resulting “wines” hailed from Iceland to Argentina!
