The Breakfast Talk: “Government’s Role in Business and Economic Implications”
On 13 July 2017, the IWIRC Malaysia Network organised a Breakfast Talk on the topic “Government’s Role in Business and Economic Implications”. The speakers for this event were Professor Edmund Terence Gomez, a Professor of Political Economy at the Faculty of Economics & Administration, University of Malaya and Mr. Patrick Tay who leads PwC Malaysia’s Economics & Policy Practice group.
This Breakfast Talk was attended by attended by both men and women amongst whom there were lawyers, accountants, liquidators and bankers. Both Professor Edmund Terence Gomez and Mr. Patrick Tay were very gracious in sharing their knowledge and insight on the subject and in taking questions from the floor. The discussions were intellectually stimulating and the participants were equally curious and enthusiastic when participating in the discussions.
