The IWIRC Midlands and North of England Network is raising a toast to a remarkable first year filled with impactful events and meaningful contributions to the community. As we reflect on our achievements, we are delighted to share the highlights of our inaugural year.
Official Launch Events: In April and May 2023, we marked our official launch with events across the three sub-committee regions, attracting an impressive attendance of nearly 400 professionals.
Summer of Giving: Throughout the summer months, our network was dedicated to making a difference through various Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives. The North West sub-committee led efforts to clean up the streets of Manchester, while the Yorkshire & North East sub-committee collected a remarkable 644kg of donations from restructuring businesses in Leeds, contributing to approximately 1,533 meals for a local food bank. Meanwhile, the Midlands sub-committee hosted a Professional Services Careers Insight Evening, offering students from local universities invaluable industry insights.
September Events: September was a month of engaging events across all regions. The North West hosted our network's first Be Inspired event, the Yorkshire & North East region hosted the inaugural Be Informed event, and the Midlands region hosted the first Be Connected event. These events brought together over 260 industry professionals, made possible through the generous sponsorship and support of our insolvency and restructuring community.
Year-End Success: The North West concluded the year on a high note with a sold-out Be Connected Afternoon Tea in Manchester, attracting over 100 attendees who helped to raise money for a local charity.
New Year, New Events: The Midlands region kicked off the new year with a Be Informed breakfast seminar in January, while the Yorkshire & North East region hosted a Be Inspired dinner in March, setting the stage for continued growth and success.
