The IWIRC Northern California Network is pleased to congratulate three of its members who shared their expertise as panelists at the 2015 ABA Business Law Section Spring Meeting, held in San Francisco on April 16-18.
Shawn Christianson (Buchalter Nemer) and Debra Grassgreen (Pachulski Stang Ziehl & Jones) spoke on a panel entitled “Who Will Be There To Shut Out The Lights” that dealt with alternatives to Chapter 11 in winding down and dissolving business entities and enterprises.
Ellen Friedman (Friedman & Springwater) spoke on a panel entitled “Deals Aren’t Over at the Closing: The High-Stakes Game of Managing Ongoing Client Contracts and the Legal Errors That May Result” that addressed the problems that arise in longer term commercial contracts and the advice that lawyers can give to protect their client and minimize the risks of legal error.
