Network Announcement
Mother's Day Charity Drive for Hogar Santa Maria Eufrasia

During the month of May 2021, the Puerto Rico Network will be collecting personal hygiene and other basic necessity items for the adolescent girls at the Hogar Santa Maria Eufrasia. Located in Arecibo, Puerto Rico, the mission of the home is to preserve the gift of life by providing shelter and basic quality services to pregnant and homeless adolescents at high social risk, while seeking their integral formation as human beings and as mothers with the aim of improving our society.

For 29 years, Hogar Santa Maria Eufrasia has provided adolescents from all over the island with shelter with a warm and affectionate welcome, protection, food, medical attention, academic training and various opportunities for human and spiritual formation. The home has welcomed more than 788 high-risk adolescents and their babies, managing to impact and improve their quality of life with optimism and hope of forging a country of justice, honesty and respect for life. As an essential part of their offering, they help adolescents to become aware of their dignity as a woman and to be good mothers, who watch over, with care and love, the nutrition, hygiene, and health of their babies.
