Sarah Boehm of McGuireWoods LLP co-authored two articles that were recently published in the American Bankruptcy Institute Journal. In an article titled “When Abstinence is the Best Policy,” published in the April 2011 issue, she and her co-author Ken Misken of McGuireWoods LLP write about a case that focuses on the “timely adjudication” standard under the mandatory abstention statute. In “Serving Subpoenas in Cases and Proceedings,” published in the May 2011 issue, they discuss the rules for properly serving subpoenas in bankruptcy cases and adversary proceedings.
