Archana is a counter-trafficking expert and activist with extensive experience in the areas of advocacy, policy work and casework relating to trafficking in persons. She is a UK qualified barrister who, after seven years as a corporate lawyer, joined the UN Refugee Agency's Legal Protection Team and subsequently the Immigration Advisory Service and Stop Trafficking UK in London. Following a move to Hong Kong, Archana jointed Liberty Asia as Head of Legal.
Archana will speak to IWIRC HK members about her journey from corporate lawyer to counter-trafficking expert and activist, as well as the work that LIBERTY ASIA is doing in Hong Kong and across the Asia Pacific region to improve the lives of many vulnerable women and young people.
