The Honorable Suzana Krstevski Koch serves as a United States Bankruptcy Judge for the Northern District of Ohio in Cleveland, appointed in 2023.  She has frequently lectured and published on bankruptcy and insolvency topics; she’s a member of the National Conference of Bankruptcy Judges, the American Bankruptcy Institute, and IWIRC.  As a long-term member of the Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Association, she currently serves on the Bar Admissions Committee. 

 

Before her appointment, she served as an Assistant United States Attorney in the Office of the United States Attorney for the Northern District of Ohio where she coordinated the Financial Litigation Program and was selected to join the Executive Office of United States Attorneys’ national financial litigation working group. 

 

Prior to her work as a public servant, she was in private practice.  She began her legal career as law clerk to (Retired) Chief Judge William T. Bodoh during his term on the Sixth Circuit Bankruptcy Appellate Panel.  Judge Koch is a graduate of Walsh University and The Michael E. Moritz College of Law at The Ohio State University.
