IWIRC Southern Africa Network hosted its first in-person event on the topic "The Fine Art of Female Assertiveness".  This event was hosted by Werksmans Incrporated and SARIPA (The Southern Africa Ristructuring and Insolvency Practitioners Association), and was sponsored by Shackleton Risk Management.
 
"The Fine Art of Female Assertiveness" was published in Psychology Today and reported that "Women often have a smaller range of acceptable behaviours at work than men." and concludes that "being diplomatically assertive doesn't mean backing down. It means you know how to present what you believe in a way that others will hear, understand and hopefully, align with your thinking".
 
IWIRC Southern Africa Network, and clinical psychologist, Leah Gouws created a space for  important conversations around women assertiveness.
