Stanardsville, VA , December 17, 2020 – The International Women's Insolvency & Restructuring Confederation (IWIRC), the premier networking organization devoted to enhancing the professional status of women in insolvency and restructuring, provided a monetary gift to the Monarch School in San Diego. The donation will be used to provide gift cards to 80 of the School’s students for the holidays.

The Monarch School is a non-profit located in San Diego. Its mission is to educate students impacted by homelessness and to help them develop hope for a future with the necessary skills and experiences for personal success. IWIRC was introduced to the Monarch School by the National Conference of Bankruptcy Judges (NCBJ) to coordinate onsite tutoring and donate items to support students’ basic needs. When the conference was cancelled due to the pandemic, IWIRC decided that a monetary donation was the best way to honor its commitment to help the school. It has been a difficult year and IWIRC is pleased to have the opportunity to support the students and families at Monarch.      

“We were thrilled to play some small role in helping the Monarch School provide Christmas surprises for its students.” stated IWIRC Program Co-Director, Jodi Dubose. “This organization fills a critical need for a segment of kids that are hard to reach and we applaud their continuing effort to make a difference, especially during this pandemic.”
