IWIRC TOP 10 of 2020
2020 may have been a difficult year, but IWIRC, its members and networks around the globe rose to the challenge. Check out our accomplishments!
10. SOCIAL MEDIA
Social media became even more important in sharing and connecting with members and non-members as our followers increased by 46% on Instagram, 39% on LinkedIn, 100% on YouTube, 10% on Facebook and 8% on Twitter.
9. 140 EVENTS
Between January 1 and November 30, IWIRC and all the networks hosted over 140 events, mostly virtual. The topics and events ranged from a fireside chat with Justice Snowden in the U.K., to the SBRA Act in the U.S. to Hip Hop Yoga to Virtual Wine Tastings and everything in between!
8. FIRST EVER "FIRST GENERATION" EVENT
Our first ever “First Generation” event was held for those who have been members for over 15 years. This event was eye-opening in what IWIRC can do for them and what they can do for IWIRC! It was so popular, a second one was held in late November.
7. AMÉRICA LATINA NETWORK
The América Latina Network became IWIRC’s 46th Network! Learn more about this new network here!
6. KOREA NETWORK
The Korea Network became IWIRC’s 47th Network! Learn more about this new network here!
5. UPDATED WEBSITE
The updated website was launched with a fresh, new look! Check out the freshly renovated site below!
4. LEADERSHIP SUMMIT
Our annual Leadership Summit that was held virtually included 85 IWIRC Board Members and Network Chairs from 4 continents, 14 countries and 22 U.S. states and territories
3. NEW MOTTOS
We launched the use of our new mottos that fully capture our mission: Be Inspired. Be Informed. Be Connected (thank you, London network for letting us use them for all of IWIRC!)
2. BE CONNECTED
The pandemic changed our view of what Be Connected looks like for IWIRC not just in 2020 but for the future — look for more global virtual and hybrid events in the years to come!
